Cookie Policy
Effective date: 1 June 2026 · Last updated: 5 June 2026
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide a better user experience, and to supply information to the website operator.
ServiceSmartOS uses cookies and similar technologies (including local storage and session storage) to operate the platform and keep you signed in securely. This policy explains what types of cookies we use and why.

3. Analytics
ServiceSmartOS collects limited operational, performance and security analytics to maintain platform reliability, performance and security. This is done through server-side infrastructure logging and does not use browser cookies. Data collected includes anonymous access patterns, feature usage, error rates, and performance metrics. This information is used to understand how the platform is used, identify technical issues, and improve the Services.
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or other third-party advertising trackers on the ServiceSmartOS platform.
4. Third-Party Cookies
Certain functionality is provided by third parties who may set their own cookies:
Stripe (payment processing)
Stripe may set cookies when you access billing or checkout pages to prevent fraud and to process payments securely. These cookies are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
5. Cookie Duration
Cookies set by ServiceSmartOS fall into two categories:
- Session cookies — deleted automatically when you close your browser. Used for authentication state during an active session.
- Persistent cookies — remain on your device for a set period (typically 7–30 days for authentication tokens) or until you delete them. Used to keep you signed in between visits and to remember preferences.
6. Managing Cookies
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically:
- View cookies currently stored on your device
- Delete cookies individually or in bulk
- Block cookies from specific websites
- Block all third-party cookies
- Set the browser to notify you when a cookie is being set
Please note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from signing in to ServiceSmartOS. Disabling preference cookies means your display settings will not be saved between sessions.
For guidance on managing cookies in your browser, visit your browser's help documentation or aboutcookies.org.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational or legal reasons. The current version is available through the ServiceSmartOS website and platform.
